Fears & Phobias

Naturally we have two fears - a fear of loud noises and a fear of falling and we are born with those. The rest of the multitude of fears we have, rational or irrational, are learnt along the way. Some are there for good reason such as being fearful of walking on an icy pavement, because the chances of slipping, falling and injuring yourself are much higher than walking on a dry even pavement. That fear is sensible. However, a lot of us have learnt to be scared of particular situations, certain types of people, places etc. that have conditioned a fear response that makes us sweat, heart pound, speech go, confidence fall to the floor. None of this is good for getting on in life, perhaps building a business, meeting a partner or doing well in your job. The Fear Master will help you take control of these fear triggers.

The majority of people's fears can be removed in one or two easy sessions. What we do is educate. We are teaching you how to be fully in control of your reactions and behaviour through some easy and enjoyable techniques that anyone can do.

Things go into phobic territory when that fear crosses and ignores rational thinking and reasoning for example someone may never travel in lifts because they fear the cable will snap and they will die when the lift crashes to the ground. In reality the chances of the lift falling to the ground are very slim indeed. Phobias stop people from doing everyday things that people take for granted from eating certain foods to going outside.
